Transformer oil –

Transformer oil is generally used to insulate and cool a transformer. It has high temperature stability and excellent electrical insulating properties.

Transformer oil is used in oil-filled electrical power transformers

To insulate the inner components in transformer.

To resist arcing and corona discharge.

To dissipate the heat of the transformer.
​
Transformer oil is also used to preserve the transformer’s core and windings – as these are fully immersed inside the oil. Another important property of the insulating oil is its ability to prevent oxidation of the cellulose-made paper insulation. The transformer oil acts as a barrier between the atmospheric oxygen and the cellulose – avoiding direct contact and hence minimizing oxidation.

SRUOIL TO 335 is a transformer oil developed by Anudatt Chemtech Pvt. Ltd. which performs highly efficient insulating and cooling functions as it is produced by quality distilled virgin base oil and additives with modern and effectives blending process.

Power transformer: transformers which are installed at finishing or receiving an end of long high voltage transmission lines are the power transformers. These transformers are used in transmission network of higher voltages for the step-up and step-down application
